Woman who died for two minutes reveals she passed to 'the other side' and met two blue-skinned beings
A woman who was officially pronounced dead for two minutes before coming back to life has revealed the surprising sensations she endured during those 120 seconds. Nicole Meeuws's heart stopped after she suffered from a series of serious complications while giving birth. She recalled being 'pulled' from her body and entering a tunnel of light while her physical form was laying lifeless on a hospital bed. She said both time and fear didn't exist after passing over to 'the other side.' She explained to NeedToKnow recently: 'I found myself passing through a tunnel of blue and white light, not a beam, but a corridor that felt alive. 'It didn't feel frightening. It felt like I was being called home. The light had a temperature, a tone, almost like music made of water.' After passing through the 'light,' she said she came to an 'immense glowing space.' She added: 'The colors were not of this world, they were luminous tones of silver, soft violets, deep radiant blues – and they didn't strain the eyes. 'The chamber was vast, larger than any earthly structure, and everything pulsed gently like a heartbeat. And then I saw them.' Nicole recalled being greeted by blue-skinned beings with human faces, similar to the creatures in the film Avatar. While she didn't understand their language, she said they made her feel at home and gave her the message telepathically that life is actually an illusion - and we only start living when we die. 'Two towering beings seated on marble-like thrones, shimmering with energy. 'Their eyes were large and indigo, filled with kindness and recognition. They looked human, but had gentle gills on their cheeks. 'I remember seeing their fish-like tails, rather than legs, covered in scales. They were both male and female intertwined and didn't speak in words – but I understood everything they had to tell me.' Nicole, from Greece, who ultimately lost her child during birth, said they told her that she was never meant to have children and that her gift, instead, was to teach people about 'the other side.' After what felt like a lifetime, but was actually only a few minutes, she was 'zapped' back into her physical body. 'I felt more known than I had ever felt in my life; I didn't want to leave. 'I understood this place, this feeling, and I truly believe it was the original home from which we all come from. 'I learned that death is not an end, it's a return to our actual lives.' Afterwards, her husband, Christos, 65, a specialized doctor, tried to speak to her, but she could only reply in a high-pitched tone and an 'unfamiliar' language that she had never learned. She said: 'It sounded like dolphin clicks. It continued for minutes, which left everyone around us stunned. 'But I couldn't stop it - it was coming through me, not from me. My senses were heightened and I could hear emotion in people's voices as color. I returned completely different; almost reborn.' Nicole, who hasn't had any near-death experiences since, said she often has visions of the blue beings who greeted her on the other side. She believes they are from the Apkallu interdimensional tribe, which are non-alien creatures - otherwise referred to as Demigods - that are said to have given civilization to mankind. Now, her mission is to spread the message that 'love is stronger than death.' She concluded: 'Love will always win; it's where we came from. We're all one big family, regardless of boundaries, cultures, religion and politics. 'Everything that exists came from the same spark. The more we hold onto fear, hate and lies, the easier it is to control humanity. 'To create heaven on Earth, we must spend each day spreading love. I'm no longer afraid of death because I know what's waiting for me on the other side. 'It was a beginning, not an end.'

Man, 55, felt a ‘snap' during ‘vigorous' sex before developing an ‘eggplant' growth on his penis
A MAN snapped his penis after it buckled against his partner while having sex. The 55-year-old showed up at hospital with a painful, swollen and badly bruised member just hours after the eye-watering injury. He felt a sudden painful "snap" in his penis when it struck his partner's perineum, the skin between the anus and vagina, during a "vigorous" romp. Despite the agony, the man remained partially erect for two hours before the swelling and bruising set in, forcing him to seek emergency care. Doctors from Creighton University School of Medicine in the US detailed the case in Cureus, saying his penis was bent sharply to the right, with swelling and dark bruises along the left side. The injury was caused by a tear in the tunica albuginea, the tough fibrous layer surrounding the erectile tissue. This led to rapid swelling and bruising, giving his penis the classic 'eggplant' look often seen in such cases. This is because when the penis is erect, the tunica albuginea stretches tight, and a sudden tear during rough sex causes a loud cracking noise and serious damage. An ultrasound revealed a small tear with nearby swelling, but the scan wasn't clear enough. An MRI confirmed a larger 2cm tear, plus bruising pressing gently on his urethra, though luckily no serious damage there. Though the penis has no bones, this kind of injury is known as a "fracture." He had surgery within eight hours, where doctors stitched the tear and drained trapped blood. Bizarre medical case reports After an overnight stay, he was sent home with antibiotics and instructions to avoid sex while healing. Three months later, he was back to normal, no pain, no deformity, and fully functional erections. Penile fractures are rare, the medics said, and the force of his penis hitting his partner's perineum must have been "very high" to cause such serious damage. If left untreated for too long, the injury can lead to erectile dysfunction and scarring. In rare cases, bacteria can enter through the tear and cause urosepsis, a dangerous infection that starts in the urinary tract and can develop into life-threatening sepsis.

Jockey rushed to hospital and racing delayed after 'nasty' parade ring incident at Punchestown
A jockey has been rushed to hospital after a scary incident in the parade ring. Jake Coen required medical attention after being unseated before the first race at Punchestown on Saturday but was 'conscious and talking'. Racing at the Irish track was delayed while the jumps jockey was treated. Coen was set to ride the Gordon Elliott-trained Arch Empire in the 2m novice hurdle, but the horse was withdrawn after unseating its rider. The medical crew on-track were quick on the scene and Coen, who was booked for two more rides on Saturday, was taken to hospital for further assessment. Taking to X, the IHRB confirmed the slight delay, which lasted around 10 minutes, while Dr Jennifer Pugh, Irish Racing's chief medical officer, provided an update. 'Jake Coen has been stood down following a fall on the way to the start of race one at Punchestown,' she said in a brief statement. 'Jake has been transferred to Tallaght University Hospital for further assessment but was conscious and talking leaving the racecourse.' Racing TV presenter Kevin O'Ryan said: 'Jake is moving everything and he is talking and fully conscious, which he has been from the word go. 'He has been taken to Tallaght Hospital as a precautionary measure. But he is fully conscious and moving everything after that nasty incident.' Coen's other rides on Saturday will now go elsewhere while he is treated. It is not currently clear whether he will return to take his further four rides on Sunday.
